Our landscape is one of the most unique in the entire world here on the Palouse and north-central Idaho.  Celebrate and learn about the lands, wildlife, forests, open spaces, and rare ecosystems of our region with our new event line up, 'Crafts, Drafts & Facts!'

We'll be pairing casual educational presentations from local experts with delicious beverages from local businesses and fun craft or activity to deepen your connections with the lands we love.

Our first session will be held in the meeting room of Pullman's Southfork Public House and feature local birding expert Charles Swift, who will present on how you can embrace the joy and fun of time spent in nature AND help scientists the world over with the iNaturalist program.  We'll learn about the best local birding hotspots and common species identification, plus ways you can get involved in citizen science activities on the Palouse throughout the year. Treat your backyard feathered friends to vegetarian suet and recycled/upcycled bird feeders during our craft portion!

Event registration of $25 includes your first tasty beverage from Southfork, all craft supplies and finished project, and a casual presentation on ways to engage with your environment.  Your registration also supports the Palouse Land Trust and vital local land conservation projects across the region.
